On Thursday evening, the Area Officer (Cmdr John Greene RN) visited the Unit on an official Unit review. Once a year, all Sea Cadet Units receive an official visit in order to verify all as it should be. The highest award is the Burgee and we revcieved our award for all the hard work everyone put in to 2011.

14-16th January 2012

Over the weekend of the 14-16th January, cadets from Bromley joined other Royal Marine Cadets from London Area to carryout a weekend of weapon training & shooting.

Cadets were tested on their Weapon Handling skills prior to shooting L98 A2 full bore rifles on the 25 metre Barrack range, the 200 metre ETR range and also had the opportunity to "shoot" on the DCCT (Dismounted Close Combat Trainer). The DCCT is an indoor simulator range which uses real SA80 rifles linked to a computer.

Congrats to all those that achieved good shooting and qualified for badges.
